Platform 3 opened in November 2004, transporting bar lovers to the unique setting of a first-class transit lounge with an interior inspired by the world famous Paris Metro and London Underground. Expect metal-and-glass industrial views, a sharp railway theme, and killer cocktails created by our award winning bar team led by the charismatic Linus Schaxmann.

Platform 3’s downstairs lounge is reminiscent of a subway car, with retro fabric and linear formations. The upstairs bar boasts spectacular views of the Melbourne city skyline with an adjoining room that has the feel of a French gentlemen’s club, an ideal location when considering your next private event or function.

Perched on the edge of East Richmond Station, this is a sophisticated cocktail spot that has floor-to-ceiling views of the city skyline, glimmering night lights and sharp slices of railway lines. Relax into the sleek modern surroundings, and sip on a sensational cocktail like the Angels Share – a sublime mix of Appleton V/X rum, Licor 43, five spice syrup with a flaming passionfruit hull.

Guests who are loyal to serious spirits may order a whole bottle to share between friends, and then store it in one of our custom made bottle lockers, for your return visit.
